Blessing of the Backpacks

 ‘The lord blessed us with spiritual blessings’

Ephesians 1:3

Dear Friends,

Summer may not be over, but school vacation is! Charleston County students return to school next week. This Sunday, August 9, during worship all students are invited to bring their backpacks and come up front to receive a blessing as they begin the new school year. We as a congregation are blessed to have our children and youth and to uphold our baptism promises to ’nurture them in the faith’, this is an opportunity to show them that we will be praying for them during the year. I hope all our parents will make an effort to be here Sunday and I encourage the students to bring their book bags and backpacks.

I hope you have had a good summer vacation and now its time to get ‘open the books’

Refreshments on the lawn – Please join us for refreshments and fellowship on the lawn on August 16th after the Sunday service.

Session Meeting – The elders will be holding their monthly session meeting on August 10th.
