Looking Ahead…
“Without Vision, the people perish…”
Proverbs 29:18
Dear Friends,
I guess of all the good proverbs in the Bible, I have always tried to live by this one. I am not a “Que sera,
sera, whatever will be” type of person. I like to have a plan for my life and a plan for the church. So let me
share with you our ministry plan for the next few months.
We have a special monthly worship format:
First Sundays… communion, the children will remain in worship, our confirmands will be the liturgists,
and the service will be family friendly.
Second Sundays… Every other month we will have a covered dish meal. In July we will have an outdoor
picnic following the celebration of Bible school. In September we will have a tailgate party after worship
in the school yard next door.)
Third Sundays… Lite refreshments on the lawn…stick around and talk with your friends and enjoy punch
and cookies.
ECCO Grocery bag Sundays in June… please bring your bags of food by this coming Sunday, June 29. We
will be delivering them after Sunday. Our next drive will be in September. Last year we collected 1000
pounds, so I hope we can surpass that in 2025.
Bible School… July 7-11. Please register your children as soon as possible. All teachers and leaders make
sure you have filled out the forms for background checks.
Blood Drive… Our next blood drive is Monday, July 21. The blood connection bloodmobile will be here in
front of the church
Mother’s Morning Out… The session has approved going forward with the Mothers Morning Out program
that will meet here for two or three days a week beginning in August.
DINNER… This Wednesday June 25th, 4:30-6:00 Huger McClellan will be making his famous Chicken
Pileau dinner. Come join us in the fellowship hall or get a take out dinner. All proceed will go to the MMO
program.
Pavilion… session is in the exploratory stage looking for a solution to our lack of fellowship space. There
are several good ideas and we will keep you informed as we move ahead.
Thank you for making our ministry here so exciting. It is a joy to be your pastor.
Blessings,
Mike
